Tom Curry, a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and an experienced teacher, conducts two-day pastel painting workshops on dramatic coastline locations. Each day begins with a demonstration giving each student a refresher in basic drawing PRINCIPLES and a quick overview of color theory. Because of the personal instruction, Tom invites all skill levels to participate. The class atmosphere is collegial and SUPPORTS YOU IN DEVELOPING YOUR SKILLS AND ARTISTIC VISION.

MATERIALS LIST
•An easel for outside work
•One 32' x 40' sheet of foam core
(to be scored and folded)
•Four large bull clips
•Rembrandt pastels sticks: prussian blue,
yellow cad, orange cad, and red cad or
a half stick set of Schminke or Sennelier
pastels, whatever you can afford
•One can of Blair workable fixative
•Canson Mi-Tients pastel papers
(medium grays, burgundy, sienna, 5 to 6 sheets)
•One sheet of wallis paper
•Apron, gloves, sunblock/hat, waterbottle
•Box lunch
